In order to maintain some semblance of sanity during lockdown, I set about playing through all 555 sonatas that Scarlatti composed. The result is this recording where I've selected some of my favourites, some well-known sonatas, and others that allowed me to luxuriate in the intimate sound world of Scarlatti that we don't usually hear. Recorded in Rome over 2 days in June 2020 at the Casa del Jazz on a Yamaha S7X. Available in digital format (Apple music, Amazon, etc), streaming and physical CD.
